  • ACO get formed by a group of health care providers which are hospitals, physicians, and others who come together to provide quality health care service to the patients. The main goal of the group is to provide the right care at the right time and save the money of the patients. They enable better coordination with the patients reducing the medical errors. The fundamental state of the US health system has changed over the past 30 years. Before catastrophic cases such as accidents, epidemic were driving the health care services, but now lifestyle and chronic diseases are the driving forces. Chronic diseases need long-term care and can even prove expensive for patients. ACO makes the process easier as they help the patients to become healthy with proper planning and in a short time. As per a report, patients with complex care needs account for almost one-fifth of the total health care spending although they compromise only 1% of the patient’s numbers. The accountable care organization (ACO) have the comprehensive management process which aligns the programs at the right place for managing the complex health care needs. ACOs now operate in all the 50 US states and assist the health care providers in providing better care to the patients. They are known for deploying health care management programs that take evidence-based strategies for delivering the right care to the patients. These evidence-based strategies are: Identification of the people who are at great risk for the unfavorable clinical conditions. Segregating the high-risk group of patients into different subgroups with the same needs. Engaging families and individuals in care decisions. Implementing programs that assist patients in addressing chronic illness. ACOs improves clinical proficiency and patient engagement by reducing costs. Some of the effective methods are: Implementation of best practices: Health care organizations check...

  • Everywhere we go, people have something plugged in their ears. Ranging from huge headphones to colorful earpieces. With innovation in the tech sector, Bluetooth earpieces showed up on the market scene and they have been hugely popular since then. With Bluetooth earpieces, you can talk and listen without the burden of wires strapped on your device. This article works you through to help you not only understand how Bluetooth earpieces work but to also make sense of why you should use one to maximize your work productivity. How Does Bluetooth Earpieces Work?   Bluetooth earpieces work by transmitting infrared signals or radio signals. They connect or pair with the device you want to use it for. Usually, they are used for phones, laptops, gaming systems, and even TVs. A caveat though, all of these devices must be Bluetooth enabled for the pairing to take place (Don’t be discouraged though, you can get a Bluetooth transmitter if your device isn’t Bluetooth enabled). The devices you’re connecting them to must also be in close proximity to each other. Most Bluetooth earpieces have ranges of about 30ft. Having discussed that, let’s go on to talk about the reasons for why you should use the device to work more with comfort. Flexibility It allows users the freedom to do other tasks while listening to their favorite tracks anywhere in the house without blasting the stereo and getting noise complaints from neighbors. You could be in the laundry room and still be connected to your device, listening to your new playlist while you do your long overdue laundry or you could be in the kitchen while your device is in the bedroom but your Bluetooth enabled earpiece is still churning out tracks. Drivers can now take calls without literally taking their eyes off the road. Say...
  • While Slack has supported Azure Active Directory previously today Slack announced on their blog support for Microsoft’s Office 365 apps like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneDrive and Outlook. Slacks new integration with Office apps and files, includes a new Outlook calendar and mail app, an updated OneDrive app, and the ability to preview Office files directly in Slack. Slack and Microsoft have made a significant improvement to email space. Outlook mail integration, with the ability to bring emails straight into Slack channels, a new Outlook add-in and a new Outlook calendar app. The new Outlook calendar app for Slack brings in all your meetings and calendar invites into the messaging service along with meeting invites that arrive. The Outlook calendar app will even set your Slack status automatically based on your calendar, and it will add “out of office” to status if you’ve enabled it in Outlook. Slack is also enabling full previews of Office files like PowerPoint slides, Word documents, and Excel spreadsheets. New OneDrive improvements allow you to preview Office files without even opening them. Both Slack and Microsoft Teams have been going head-to-head to try to win over new customers but, in this case, bringing a new customer great customer experience is important to both Slack and Microsoft. Microsoft launched its free version of Teams to rival Slack, but I am not sure how good that is doing and maybe Microsoft see this as a better idea. I would like to see more Slack integration with OneNote sooner I am also interested to see if this is a space where Google might launch a messaging product.

Spotify Missing the Hulu Family Plan

Spotify and Apple have been at odds over the last year or two over different issues related to the iPhone, Apple Watch and unfair practices by Apple. Those issues aside Apple has been trying to rev up their services and offerings with Apple Music by partnering with cell phone carriers and offering their large user base of Apple Echo system users 3 to 6 months of free Apple Music. While Apple has been doing their thing trying to get new users, Spotify has been approaching user growth by offering deals like discounts to college and university students. Offering ad-supported Hulu for free to Spotify Premium members. Spotify offers a family plan or a couple’s plan and now is offering a Google puck with Spotify. One thing I have noticed about Spotify is they are trying everything to keep their growth going. Spotify, unlike Apple, is seeing their growth with the millennium crowed which is the same market Hulu is seeing their growth so it would make sense for a strategic partnership to get members. The only thing I find upsetting about the Spotify Hulu partnership is the lack of Hulu support for premium plans for users with a Family Plan or Couples Plan. While I think this could be a market that might help Hulu since they offer family plans as well, I am surprised nothing has come of this from either Spotify or Hulu.
  • Skype is really rolling out the new features and giving users the improvements, they want including doubling the number of users that you can group call at once from the 25-user limit to the now a 50-user limit. I have to say I would be hard pressed to find 50 of my friends to Skype with all at once but in Corporate America this feature is going to be useful. Skype doubling of the number of users supported by group calls to 50 puts Skype ahead of most mainstream chat services likes of WhatsApp and Facebook Messenger. Apple who finally released group FaceTime messaging back in August has a limit of 32 people in a group Facetime. Skype allowing more users now puts them ahead in an area where they were behind but doing so many users in a group call has made Skype rethink the way Skype handles notifications. Skype has added a notification to replace the ringing as the default, allowing every member of the group to receive a quick ping to join the call. You can still use the ring feature if the notification of a starting a call is not enough, you can select individual members to ring, or if your group is less than 25 participants, you can ring the entire group.
  • In today’s competitive world, every software development team aim at providing better software products that would bring about change in the markets.  IT organizations have come up with several ideas to help the teams to up their software quotient. Currently, based on the Lean and Agile principles, SAFe has taken over the markets to help testing and development software team in planning and distributing responsibilities and activities across a smaller or larger team. This framework allows companies following the traditional waterfall methods to accept the SAFe method. Unlike the conventional methods, Scaled Agile Framework provides a simple experience for the software team and is broken into three parts Team, Program and Portfolio. To get a brief idea about SAFe, one has to attend SAFe Agile Certification. SAFe works perfectly fine with large scale companies that need to work across larger and multi-team portfolios and the pros of implementing SAFe methods far outweigh the cons. Few reasons why companies adopt SAFe Framework – Aligns the top management and development teams – It helps develop a connection between the top level management and other development teams. Former methods had the top management set up a list of tasks for the other teams to execute, whereas the new agile methods allow the people at the higher posts to sit and discuss the ideas together in terms of delivering the end product to the consumer. Such a close connection with the business would help companies grow due to valuable inputs from across departments. Quality – This is the core value of SAFe and is a must when a company is following Lean principles. It believes to gain consumer satisfaction by offering the ability to innovate and provide valuable service to the end user. A traditional business method followed a sequenced approach that led to...
  • Dental, surgical, and radiological offices are vastly different operations. From equipment needs to uniquely skilled staffing considerations, the healthcare landscape is an ocean of individual nuances and quirks that may be hard to identify from the patient’s chair. Even though Americans make nearly one billion physician’s visits year after year, it can be hard to take note of some of the more subtle things that go on in the office. For instance, we often take it for granted that our doctors see an average of 19 patients per day. Each patient is but one of a score, and each file must be updated with appointment records, diagnoses, prescription information, follow-up appointments, and payment data — and that’s just the beginning. While it may be hard for your regulars to discern a high-efficiency office from an average one, it is incredibly easy to uncover lapses in professionalism: the most blatant being the calling system employed by your staff. If you aren’t using the most efficient healthcare call center software to operate your phone lines, you are leaving money, time, and energy on the table. Benefits of the cloud Today’s healthcare industry relies on two critical necessities: impenetrable data security and intuitive access to confidential information when contacting patients. These may seem to counteract each other, but if you remember years past when rows upon moveable rows of file shelves littered the back office, you know the struggle of keeping your records easily accessible and still secure from prying eyes. Calling operations among healthcare providers are increasingly moving to the cloud in order to deliver on both of these requirements. Cloud based systems provide a few advantages over traditional calling solutions. Primarily, they are easy to implement and cost less than a traditional calling setup. Your staff needs only to log into...
