  2. Type “C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download” and press OK
  3. Open file explorer and delete all the files/folders in this directory
  4. If in case you are not able to delete these files, do it in safe mode.

  1. Press Win+R keys to open the Run dialog.
  2. Type “WSReset.exe” and click OK.
  3. A blank, black window will appear that will auto-close after some time.
  4. That’s it. Done. Try to install apps now.

Problem 04:  Not able to find ‘Open with’ in Windows 10.

Solution 04: This problem arises due to some missing or corrupted system files or configuration settings and can be easily fixed by following these steps:

  1. Open the Notepad and type the following in it.

Problem 05: Not able to Login Automatically using Microsoft Account.

Solution 05: By default, the Logging in automatically feature using the Microsoft account comes disabled in Windows 10, you have to enable this feature, follow these steps to do so:

  1. Press Win+R keys to open the Run dialog
  2. Type in “netplwiz” and press OK.
  3. A window will be opened, click on the account for which you want to enable ‘automatic login’.
  4. Uncheck (or untick) the option ‘Users must enter a username and password to use this computer’ and click OK.
  5. Enter that account’s password twice in the new dialog, and click OK to enable automatic login.

Problem 06: Not able to search any files or application on windows search.

Solution 06: Follow the process below to solve the issue in just some easy steps

  1. Click Ctrl+Alt+Del and choose ‘Task Manager’
  2. End the process ‘Explorer.exe’
  3. Press Win+R to open the Run dialog
  4. Type “regedit” and press Enter
  5. In the registry editor, delete the following registry key:

  1. Now go once again in the Task Manager, go to File -> Run new task
  2. Type in “explorer.exe” and press OK
  3. If  you’re still facing the issue then try these steps also:
  4. Press Win+X and choose ‘Command Prompt (Admin)’
  5. Type “start powershell” and hit Enter
  6. Run the following command there:

Get-AppXPackage -Name Microsoft.Windows.Cortana | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register “$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml”}

Problem 07: Losing Battery Too Quickly

Solution 07: Draining up battery too fast can be really annoying but that to windows update as now you can put a control the amount of battery each app can use. To enable this feature, press Windows Key + I and then go to Update & security > Windows Update > Advanced options > Choose how updates are delivered and move the switch to Off.

You can also turn of the Cortana by saying Hey Cortana to Off if you want to save even more power.

Problem 08: Not having all the programs in the start menu.

Solution 08: If you are unable to see all of your installed programs or application in the start menu then you can easily fix this also. Just click the on the search bar and type “powershell”. Then, enter “Get-StartApps | measure”. This will show you how many Start menu apps you have. If it’s more than 512, you might not see all of them but if it is less than that, you will be seeing all of them now.
