Following the Windows 10 October 2018 Update File Deletion issue, Microsoft is now facing another serious issue caused by KB4462919 Cumulative Update (OS Build 17134.345), which was released a couple of days back for Windows 10 version 1803 PCs.

After installing this update, on certain HP PCs, users are welcomed by BSOD due to WDF_VIOLATION error. There seems to be some issue related to C:\Windows\System32\drivers\HpqKbFiltr.sys driver file. To fix this issue, go to Troubleshoot -> Advanced options -> Command Prompt and type the following commands:

cd c:\windows\system32\drivers
ren HpqKbFiltr.sys HpqKbFiltr.sys_old
Once the renaming of the file is successful, restart the PC to successfully load Windows 10. According to Microsoft Support forums, Microsoft is aware of this BSOD issue affecting PCs from various OEMs and it has temporarily paused the update to investigate the issue reported.
