As many Audible members know there is a great value to an Audible membership. Audible offers members two monthly plans one at $14.95 a month for one book and the second plan at $22.95 per month for two books. Besides those two well-priced plans when you look at the cost of Audiobooks they are a steal in the pricing department, most audiobooks full price are about $22 dollars for one book by any major bestselling author you are defiantly saving with a membership.
Audible has added to their membership offerings with adding Audible Channels at no extra charge which has been very popular with a lot of users since the service was offered back in September 2016 that was added as a benefit of Amazon Prime. These are perks that get a lot of mainstream attention but what about the reader benefits.
There are extra added bonuses to your membership that most people will never know about unless they are heavy users of the service like myself.
30% Discount off regular price of all credit card content purchases
This is a huge cost saving for a big reader like myself yes you get one or two credits a month when you have a subscription but you may at the time have more books you want to read after your done with those credits 30% can save you a lot of money on book purchases a month.
Rollover Credits 5 credits per month for 1 Audiobook a month plan and 10 credits per month for 2 Audiobook a month plan
This benefit to me is kind of confusing if you paying for the credits every month why would Audible not allow you to carry them over. If your paying for the service you would think you would not be rolling over any credits. Maybe this is for dormant accounts I never have rollover credit but more is explained on Rollover Credits on Audible Support Site.
Great Listen Guarantee
This is one feature I am surprised Audible does and stands by regularly and will never say no unless you are abusing the privilege. If you are unhappy with a book or the Narrator they will refund you the book and you can buy another one right away. You are only entitled to this as an Audible account holder there is no Great Listener Guarantee offered to users without a subscription. For an avid book listener like me, this is huge narrators can make or break a great book and this is a huge benefit to any avid audiobook listener.
Get a daily subscription to The Wall Street Journal or The New York Times, also get a free digital issue of AudioFile Magazine.
The Wall Street Journal or The New York Times can cost you a few dollars a day off the stand on your way to the office. If you are already had an Audible membership you get it for free another few dollars you get out of your membership.
Members-only deals
Enjoy discounts and sales offered exclusively to members. I have grabbed a few cheap books this way another cost savings.
Audible for me is a great way to enjoy books on the go and I really enjoy the service along with other friends and bloggers. Some of these great Audible features never get the media attention they deserve and I think readers and listeners should know about them before they make a commitment to a service. If you’re a big reader like me this saves you a lot of money if you’re someone who only may listen to a few books a year it may not be worth it monthly. Membership or not I do feel Audible is the best way to listen to books compared to other services on the market.
