Apple recently discovered that a small percentage of their iPhone 11 screens are defective and may stop responding to touch. Apple has said they have narrowed the defect down to iPhone 11 devices manufactured between November 2019 and May 2020 are potentially affected. Apple trying to show good customer service for their devices is now launching a screen replacement program.

If you have a defective device go to the screen replacement site and put in your serial number. You can get your serial number by going to Go to Settings > General and tap About. All eligible devices will be able to receive repair through Apple or an Apple Authorized Service Provider for free. If you already paid to repair your phone for this specific issue, Apple will be providing you a refund for the cost of the repair.

As far as servicing options Apple has them listed on their site

“Choose one of the options below to have your iPhone 11 serviced. Your iPhone will be examined prior to any service to verify that it is eligible for this program.

Before service, backup your iPhone to iCloud or your computer. Learn more about preparing your iPhone for service.

If your iPhone 11 has any damage which impairs the ability to complete the repair, such as a cracked screen, that issue will need to be resolved prior to the service. In some cases, there may be a cost associated with the additional repair.”

If your iPhone 11 is not having an issue you may want to bookmark with the site as the replacement program covers affected iPhone 11 devices for 2 years after the first retail sale of the unit.
