  • The Search Traffic section of Google Webmaster Tools is a very powerful tool for any one running or administering a website. The search traffic sections has three parts search queries, links to your site and internal links. A search query is a query that a user enters into a web search engine to satisfy his or her information needs. What’s the difference between a search term and a keyword? A search term is the exact word or set of words a user enters when searching on Google.com. A keyword is the word or set of words created for a given group to target customers. The search query section of Google Webmaster tools helps you identify search queries and provides important information to help you identify your audience. The information provides how many search impressions, clicks and average position on Google in which these search queries are ranking. Links to your site is another important section this shows you incoming links and there origin. Inbound links from high ranking sites improve your sites search ranking. Links from black listed sites or spam sites hurt your search engine ranking and should be removed. Internal links are links to pages on your own site these are very important as those links keep the audience on your page and keep the user engaged adding less of a bounce rate and longer on site time which affect your Google Page Ranking.     Search Engine Optimization (SEO) involves modifying a website to be “search engine friendly” so it will rank higher in the search engines. Your company’s presence on search engines like Google, Yahoo, MSN/Bing are important in gaining an online presence and online business. We all know that when consumers look for a product or service, they turn to search engines for answers. In fact, hundreds of millions of search queries are run on search engines every day. You can specify and add pages that are not being indexed by the crawlers and you can link this account with Google Analytics to see what queries and keywords are ranking the best and where you can improve. 2. Website Analytics This information is SO important for more reasons then I can list.  But the basic reason is one linking this information with Webmaster tools is valuable and SEO effective.  Analytics in it self holds a lot of search engine weight and has been proven then sites with Google Analytics account rank higher then others. 3.
