Microsoft’s latest PCs are both being served with their first two sets of firmware updates this week. Here’s what’s new.
Surface Laptop 2
If you’re running Windows 10 version 1809, you will see the following two updates.
- Surface Pen Firmware Update. System devices 3.0.10.1 resolves intermittent pen top button click failure on Surface Pen with no clip-on Windows 10 October 2018 Update, version 1809.
- Surface – HIDClass – 1.0.9.0. Surface Pen Integration Device – Human Interface Devices 1.0.9.0 enables firmware update to Surface Pen with no clip.
Those running Windows 10 version 1803 or newer will (also) see the following updates.
- Surface – Firmware – 239.5.139.0. Surface System Aggregator – Firmware 239.5.139.0 improves system stability.
- Intel Cooperation System -9.21.00.3755. Intel Smart Sound Technology (Intel SST) OED 9.21.00.3755 ensures music streaming services will not be interrupted after resume from sleep.
- Intel Cooperation System – 9.21.00.3755. Intel Smart Sound Technology (Intel SST) Audio Controller 9.21.00.3755 ensures music streaming services will not be interrupted after resume from sleep.
- Intel Cooperation System – 10.25.00.10. Intel(R) Display Audio 10.25.00.10 resolves battery consumption issue associated with Windows 10 October 2018 Update.
Surface Pro 6
Surface Pro 6 users will see just two updates that apply only to Surface Pro 6 PCs running Windows 10 version 1809.
