Microsoft announced that they are dropping Game Pass Ultimate prices from $29.99 to $22.99 a month, and PC Game Pass will drop from $16.49 to $13.99 a month. The price decrease comes at a cost because Microsoft Xbox is removing day one access to all new Call of Duty Games.

All other perks of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass are staying, along with the current Call of Duty already in the library. There will still be first-party and third-party games coming to Game Pass on day one. New Call of Duty games will be added to Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass about a year after launch.

Microsoft Xbox said in its blog post

“Our players cover a wide breadth of geographies, preferences, and tastes, so while there isn’t a single model that’s best for everyone, this change responds to a lot of feedback we’ve gotten so far. We’ll continue to listen and learn.”

In a recent Bloomberg report, Microsoft has reportedly given up a potential $300 million in Call of Duty sales as a result of putting the game on Game Pass.
