Asha Sharma, the new CEO of Microsoft Gaming and Discord, teased a new partnership today. It’s not clear what the latest Discord and Xbox partnership will look like. We know it is likely related to some perks for subscribers of Xbox Game Pass.
In Asha Sharma X Post, she writes
“For years, Xbox and Discord have worked together to make it easier for players to connect, chat, and play across devices. We’re teaming up again as we continue to make Game Pass more flexible for our players. Some of you might start to see some code in the wild, and we will share more details with you all soon!”
Which Discord added “Soon.”

At the moment, Game Pass Ultimate subscribers can get a month of Discord Nitro as part of the subscription. Given that Microsoft just dropped the price of Game Pass Ultimate, it’s interesting to see them add something.
Discord currently offers two different subscriptions: the $2.99/month Nitro Basic plan with enhanced file uploads and custom emojis & stickers, and the $9.99/month Nitro plan with HD streaming and much more. Discord is the most popular social app among gamers.
