00:09
All right folks, for the download button

00:12
on Technology Geek podcast.

00:15
And as always folks, you can catch all of our old shows

00:17
at thetechnologygeek.org

00:21
and where all find podcasts are available.

00:26
So a lot of news to talk about this week folks.

00:29
I’m really kind of, and I know, like as you start,

00:32
we should start with tech news,

00:33
but I won’t talk about the big news of the week.

00:36
Apparently the 24/7 wrestling channel on SiriusXM

00:43
is going to be, after SummerSlam,

00:46
this weekend is going to be rebranded to the WWE channel.

00:52
And apparently it’s going to be 24/7 wrestling.

00:54
Now it’s not going to all be WWE, I guess.

00:56
They’re still going to talk about other things.

00:58
at least that’s what the rumor is right now.

01:01
But I’m curious, this is gonna be fun to have a 24/7 WWE channel.

01:07
I’m looking forward to this.

01:09
WWE has, I mean, WWE is a big conversation piece

01:14
on the Wrestling Nation channel,

01:17
but it’s going to officially be the WWE Wrestling,

01:20
it’s gonna be WWE Wrestling channel on Serious XM,

01:23
come like right after SummerSlam.

01:27
So a lot of people who myself are looking forward to that.

01:31
Like I said, I hope it doesn’t change.

01:32
They do talk about a lot of other things on there,

01:35
like TNA wrestling, AEW, stuff like that.

01:37
I’m wondering, I don’t hope that doesn’t change.

01:40
Everybody, they’re saying it’s not going to change,

01:43
but we will have to watch here over the next couple of weeks

01:48
to see if that does change.

01:49
I hope it doesn’t because there’s so many other

01:51
good wrestling promotions out there as well.

01:53
It’s nice to give everybody the cover,

01:55
especially when you have 24/7 coverage.

01:58
Sam Roberts who is on WWE’s does the Raw show,

02:02
the Raw pre-show, post-show.

02:04
He’s going to be, his show is going to every day at noon now.

02:08
Busted open is gonna be every morning at nine.

02:10
So some of the shows that are only on one or two days a week

02:13
are going to five days a week now.

02:15
Like I said, we will see.

02:16
It looks really, really cool.

02:18
And kind of excited about that.

02:20
So that’s a little bit of news.

02:22
And of course, like I said,

02:23
weekend is SummerSlam. Also too interesting I want to talk about the

02:31
these are kind of big, for me anyway, big deals. HBO Max is going to be getting

02:37
into the vertical, they want to start doing shorts on their app and what they’re

02:44
going to do is they’re going to do shorts of pieces of their shows like snippets

02:48
of their shows to try to help viewership of other shows that are on their platform.

02:56
Now the reason why I think this is interesting is because Spotify has started

03:02
started doing this to help boost podcast views or you know listening of music

03:09
podcast shows all that and this has been a big thing on, originally started on

03:13
YouTube that’s been really helping a lot of videos out. Now I know you’re saying

03:18
vertical video didn’t start with YouTube.

03:20
I’m not saying it did, but the vertical video

03:24
and the short has really helped a lot of channels

03:29
on YouTube who were struggling a little bit.

03:32
So, one of the things, like a lot of times you’ll see

03:36
you know, a show that’s like an hour and a half

03:37
or two hours, but they’ll have two or three

03:40
little shorts every day from that episode

03:42
to kind of push people over to the long form video.

03:47
So I think this is kind of the plan that HBO is gonna try.

03:51
I know they’re saying Netflix is gonna start this.

03:55
So this is gonna actually be kind of a big thing

03:57
going forward and I think this is how,

04:00
like, you know, I’m sitting there watching, you know,

04:02
the Big Bang Theory and I catch a snippet

04:04
of another show I wanna watch, say Game of Thrones

04:07
and I like it.

04:08
I mean, oh, let me jump over and watch Game of Thrones.

04:10
So I think that’s where we’re headed and what’s going,

04:14
you know, this is gonna be kind of the new thing.

04:16
I think YouTube’s kind of proven that it works.

04:19
So I think now you’re gonna see other video platforms,

04:23
even ones that aren’t, you know,

04:27
user-based content driven like YouTube is,

04:30
you’re gonna see, they’re gonna do shorts

04:33
and stuff like that, vertical video

04:34
to try to help draw users to that,

04:38
to other shows on their platform to help retain,

04:42
you know, they don’t wanna, you know,

04:43
that’s the other thing too,

04:44
because they want people to find other things to watch

04:46
because they don’t want the churn rate.

04:49
That’s something that has been a very big issue

04:52
over on Apple is churn rate.

04:54
We talked about it last week,

04:55
but Apple has a very big problem of people coming,

04:58
watching what they want, leaving.

05:00
Where people on like say HBO and Netflix

05:04
and stuff like that, the churn rate is much lower.

05:07
The same thing with Series XM,

05:09
their churn rate is very low,

05:10
where certain platforms, the churn rate is unbelievable.

05:15
A lot of people believe that’s why ESPN got WWE

05:20
because WWE has shows every single month

05:22
and people will stay signed up just to see those shows.

05:26
That’s what they think is going on.

05:27
Now the numbers we’ll find out down the road,

05:31
but it’s one of those interesting things where

05:35
these short videos like this can really help a podcast,

05:39
can really help somebody with a new YouTube channel

05:42
that’s trying to get viewers on their long form videos,

05:44
stuff like that.

05:45
So I think that’s why they’re doing this

05:48
and it’s kind of proven to work on YouTube

05:50
so that other channels are doing it.

05:51
So I thought that was pretty interesting.

05:54
Also speaking of YouTube,

05:57
YouTube has announced that with YouTube Premium now,

06:00
you’re also gonna get Peacock.

06:03
Now, Peacock has kind of been the background,

06:08
the one you don’t see, it’s not as prevalent as HBO Max or Netflix, but it has, with the

06:14
help of WWE and with the help of some other stuff, they’ve creeped up to become to that,

06:20
I think they have like say, 450 million subscribers now. That’s pretty big for a service that

06:26
just started a couple years ago. It’s definitely, you know, on the, you know, it’s definitely

06:32
in contendership with something like, you know, Disney or Apple or any of those, now

06:37
they don’t have the user base, but what they are saying is that Peacock has less of a churn rate.

06:44
So again, you know, that whole thing of yeah, okay, we got a subscriber, but we haven’t lost

06:50
a subscriber, you know, that kind of thing. So that’s been interesting. They’re saying that,

06:54
you know, they’re doing this now to try to help bump their numbers. Because like I said, that’s

06:59
one of the things that a lot of people have been saying that, you know, Peacock has struggled to

07:05
to grow ever since they lost WWE and lost some other stuff.

07:08
So now they have Sunday baseball

07:10
and they’ve managed to also get some other people in there.

07:15
You’ll get some other shows in there

07:17
and now they’re partnering with some other channels

07:19
and stuff like that to try to, you know,

07:23
other services try to bring up their subscriber numbers.

07:26
It’s been a challenge for Peacock.

07:29
Like I said, they’ve got some more good shows on there now

07:32
that’s helped a lot tremendously.

07:33
And they’ve also, like I said, partnering with YouTube,

07:36
partnering with, I think they partnered with somebody else

07:38
recently, oh, Walmart.

07:40
That was on Walmart recently.

07:42
I was trying to think of it, but I couldn’t.

07:44
But they’re still a part of Walmart now.

07:46
So if you have Walmart, you can also get Peacock.

07:49
So they’re definitely a company that, OK,

07:52
we need to keep growing.

07:53
How can we keep growing since we lost this?

07:56
Well, let’s try this, this, this, and this.

07:58
Also to speaking of Peacock Lost NXT premium live events apparently now

08:05
premium live events for NXT are going to be going on ESPN now so that’s interesting as well.

08:13
ESPN announced, there’s been a lot of news this week on on the streaming services.

08:18
ESPN announced that they are going to be stopping for the first free hour on ESPN now at WWE.

08:25
So WWE for the longest time, their first hour was always free on ESPN.

08:30
And then the rest of the show went to ESPN Unlimited.

08:34
Apparently, they’re saying, guess what?

08:37
Everything’s going to Unlimited.

08:38
So no more free first hour on ESPN anymore.

08:42
That’s kind of done.

08:43
WWE announced that the other day.

08:45
So pretty interesting.

08:47
I kind of figured that was going to–

08:49
and the way this kind of works, folks, is they do–

08:52
what they do is they’ve been doing it for a couple of months.

08:54
So they’re like, okay, we’ve had like three or four premium events.

08:58
The first hour was free on ESPN. How many subscribers did we get that day right after that between that,

09:06
you know, that after that first hour was over? Um, it’s the same. And by the way,

09:09
this isn’t a new business model, by the way. Uh, did we did this for years with their pay per views on,

09:16
when they did pay per view before this, uh, they would do like the first 15 minutes was free

09:21
and then it would cut you off. So again, not a new business model, but they were trying the first

09:27
hour free on ESPN. And what they probably did is, you know, okay, that last the first time we did it,

09:33
we got a ton of subscribers. Second time we did it, ton of subscribers. Third time we did it,

09:37
not as much. So then list passed and felt like, yeah, we didn’t really get that much signups.

09:41
All right, let’s just do away with it and put everything on unlimited. So

09:45
that’s kind of the way those things work. Like I said, not really a new business model.

09:48
WWE has been doing it forever, but you know, they were trying to get on ESPN. So

09:54
Again, I thought pretty big. I thought it was pretty cool big news there for that. So we like I said, I mean we that was

10:02
There’s been a lot of big news this week as far as content and all that goes

10:07
some other things as well is

10:10
Microsoft

10:12
having a big outage

10:14
the Xbox outage and of course I

10:17
Happened over the weekend, of course when they have one of their you know, they’re their flagship games

10:23
First of all that did not look real good for them

10:25
But the second thing as well that did not look good for them and this I thought was was kind of crazy

10:30
And I think it’s very important to talk about

10:33
Microsoft a lot of people were saying even they would put their game discs in and they still weren’t working

10:41
Sort of that

10:44
So people got really upset about that a couple people were like well wait a minute. I don’t understand

10:49
Why are my game disk not working if the service is down?

10:54
So Microsoft made an announcement deal that believe it was yesterday

10:57
Therefore that they are going to be working on a solution now

11:03
For this problem where even if you don’t have any connectivity to the internet and even if Xbox should go down again

11:09
Your CDs will still work your your physical disc media people are really in up in arms over this physical disc media between PlayStation

11:16
Announcing they’re gonna stop it and Microsoft

11:19
You know a lot of people think that Microsoft’s gonna stop it soon as well

11:23
People really up in arms of well. She had to be kidding me

11:25
So even though I buy the physical disc because I because the Xbox Network is down

11:29
I can’t even play my games. So and it was a long outage – I think it was it lasted overnight. So

11:39
about that and you know Microsoft really does need to really focus on this because you know

11:47
they really upset a lot of their customers and you know people were upset. I mean Microsoft

11:53
just had their earnings call and they’re talking about how you know Xbox you know dropped revenue

11:59
again and but they’re still up like you know 18 or 20 percent year over year so I mean Microsoft’s

12:05
earning the money, they need to invest it into the people that are supporting their

12:11
products. And especially Xbox. As Xbox is really taking a hit, they have a lot of layoffs,

12:16
a lot of studios left, and some of that. So Microsoft really needs to really reorganize

12:22
and kind of really focus on this kind of stuff. By the way too, it is important to realize

12:29
too that, you know, Microsoft is competing pretty hard now with Xbox and, I’m sorry,

12:36
with PlayStation.

12:37
And they’re going to lose the market share they have to PlayStation and Nintendo if these

12:42
kind of things continue.

12:44
So very important for them to really double down and say, “Hey, we’ve got to protect

12:49
the, you know, the customers we have.”

12:51
Also too, it’s also kind of neat too that Double Fine is as laid off more than half of

12:59
the– I think they have 42 employees and now they cut them down to 23.

13:04
Those of you that don’t know, Double Fine went ahead and left Microsoft.

13:09
They got some money.

13:11
I think they got funding from– I don’t know where they got it from, but they got funding

13:14
and they took their games, their IPs and everything and spun off.

13:20
apparently they had a cut. They had 42 people that cut down to 23. So a little

13:25
more than half of their their people they cut. Well guess what folks? Like

13:30
that means that somebody was sitting around the office and the accounting

13:35
people like well guess what? We brought in this much this you know on our

13:39
intellectual property and on our games and all this and we’re burning this

13:43
much. So how can we cut back so that we can you know you know not be in the red

13:52
because remember they only have so much runway with the money they got so they

13:56
have to do something so it’s the fortunate that they had a cut to staff

13:59
like they did but without much without Microsoft money behind you you know the

14:05
game they do have two popular games two or three popular games but still it’s

14:10
One of those things where it’s like, well, you know,

14:13
we’re burning this much a month.

14:16
Where could we cut?

14:17
And unfortunately, the only thing that cuts are help.

14:19
It’s pretty crazy to think about too,

14:20
because they went off on their own

14:22
to try to help save employees

14:24
and they ended up having to cut themselves.

14:25
So it just kind of shows you that,

14:28
and there’s another studio too that I believe

14:29
this is gonna happen at too.

14:30
So it just kind of shows you Microsoft

14:33
maybe did have to cut because it seems like

14:36
just these couple independent studios that went on their own

14:39
aren’t making enough to sustain.

14:41
So maybe the Microsoft cuts weren’t as misguided

14:47
as we all thought.

14:49
Just some food for thought there.

14:51
Like I said, it’s just weird that these studios

14:54
that have broken off and taken all the employees with them

14:56
have had to cut employees.

14:57
That’s all I’m saying.

14:58
Like I said, I’m not saying it’s good.

14:59
I hate to see anybody lose their jobs.

15:01
We’re seeing this day and age,

15:02
but I’m wondering maybe if Microsoft was on the right path

15:05
with this, where they kind of had to do something.

15:10
Another couple of big things. First of all, the the metaglasses are being banned at Defcon.

15:17
Apparently Defcon has announced that any way that wears them will be asked to take them off

15:24
or just don’t wear them if you’re coming. It’s gonna be tough if people, people like us,

15:29
a lot of people wear prescription lenses. I hope you have a backup pair if you go into Defcon

15:34
because they’re saying we are not allowing people to bring them with them. We don’t trust. AI is

15:38
Especially among security people,

15:40
a lot of people don’t trust it.

15:41
And especially in a place like Def Con,

15:43
I can imagine a lot of those people

15:45
are not going to want to have AI glasses

15:47
looking at them at all times.

15:48
Especially with the, especially at something like Def Con

15:52
where we know, you know, there are, you know,

15:57
Facebook’s easy to give away data

15:58
and so that needs to use data.

16:01
And I agree with this on a test.

16:03
Especially at something like Def Con

16:04
where they have games like Spot the Fed and stuff like that.

16:07
I definitely don’t disagree with them not allowing the Ray-Ban.

16:12
So very, you know, again, I like them, I tried them,

16:16
but it’s definitely not something I would continue.

16:19
You know, it was just like the Google Glass.

16:21
It was too intrusive and all that.

16:23
Now, Facebook saying that glasses

16:26
are gonna replace people’s cell phones

16:28
in the next five years.

16:31
I don’t see that happening.

16:32
I think that’s Mark Zuckerberg kind of blowing smoke,

16:34
but I do see a lot of more people wearing them now.

16:38
So, you know, it’s one of those things.

16:41
But I think if Apple does it, it’ll be better

16:43
’cause Apple’s more security focused than Facebook is.

16:46
But we will have to see that.

16:48
That’s obviously, we don’t even have confirmation

16:51
of that yet, but that’s what people are saying.

16:52
So we will have to see on that one.

16:56
Also too, one of the things I would like to point out,

16:58
those of you that are fans of the show

17:01
and have seen a lot of my YouTube videos of that,

17:04
You know I’m a big fan of Winamp.

17:07
Winamp apparently announced the other day

17:10
that they’re a long way away,

17:11
but they apparently by next year,

17:14
they’re going to be a standalone music player,

17:18
and apparently they’re going to integrate with Deezer.

17:21
So apparently Winamp not only will play your local MP3

17:24
you know, collection, which many of us have,

17:28
but it will also be able to use Deezer as well.

17:31
Now the reason why I’m bringing this up is,

17:34
One, I think it’s really cool and I will probably pay for this somehow shape or form just to

17:38
support Winamp because I love Winamp.

17:41
But very important to point this out because a lot of us, this used to what Winamp is doing

17:52
is not that far from what Microsoft Groove was doing.

17:57
We talked about this a couple weeks ago.

18:00
actually was really neat because you could have your own MP3s with music

18:06
that you got from Groove and you could combine the two. Now Spotify used to have

18:11
that but they’ve kind of gotten away from it a little bit. You can still do it

18:14
but it’s they really they make it very difficult and I think they do that on

18:20
purpose so that people don’t do it. Also as well you know Apple has iTunes

18:26
match which is something I as well YouTube I’m sorry Google music YouTube

18:33
music now had it as well but they started getting away from it a little

18:37
bit you still can do it I still have mine saved up there but you can you can

18:42
do they have that service well so there are services out there for this but I

18:46
think Winamp really is nice because it’s simple it’s basic you just point it to

18:52
your mp3s and you can play whatever you want so I really think that YouTube the

18:56
the simplicity of it is what makes it is kind of the beauty of it where with you

19:00
know itunes match sometimes the metadata doesn’t match and you know it won’t work

19:04
or even um I guess it’s sometimes in some of these other services like I

19:10
haven’t myself a few times in in in YouTube music where if somebody’s having

19:15
trouble playing my low you know can’t find the metadata and some of that or

19:19
sometimes it skips over it if it can’t read the file because it’s in a weird

19:22
format where like I said Winamp just does it and doesn’t ask questions. I think that’s the power of

19:28
Winamp but I also think them partnering with Deezer and doing that whole thing with Deezer of

19:35
trying to say okay you know here’s our you know here’s our you know here’s your library but if

19:42
you also want to list this other Deezer you can. They’re also going to be partnering as well they’re

19:46
are staying with other companies for radio.

19:50
They haven’t talked about which company

19:51
they’re partnering with yet.

19:53
A lot of people think it’s going to be either,

19:56
probably either one of those third,

19:58
it’s either gonna be iHeartRadio

20:00
or possibly one of those third party,

20:03
like some kind of third party radio repository

20:06
that we haven’t really talked about or isn’t that popular.

20:09
‘Cause it’s weird that they, I mean,

20:10
they picked Deezer over anybody else.

20:13
And Deezer is a big company, but it’s not a huge company.

20:16
So I’m curious to see if they’re going to go with another smaller company.

20:21
We’ll see.

20:23
You know, it could be anybody, but they are saying that they they want.

20:27
They are relaunching.

20:28
They’re saying that they’ve been working on relaunching for a couple of years now

20:32
and that they are looking forward to, you know, being a standalone music

20:37
player for desktop and on the phone, especially they say, especially desktop.

20:41
So I’m watching this closely.

20:43
I’m very curious.

20:44
I am really excited about it and I have been promoting it for a while

20:49
But we will have to see like I said, what what happens?

20:54
By the way folks at one thing I want to think I’d like to point out too about technology my wife and I we went on a trip

21:00
This past week this past weekend took a long weekend and went on a trip

21:05
The reason why I’m bringing this up is I was really really interesting how technology

21:10
You know has changed things years ago

21:12
You know get tour guides and stuff like that

21:15
The recent, we went on vacation recently,

21:18
we went to Salem, Massachusetts,

21:20
and what’s really interesting about this,

21:22
why I’m bringing it up is we went to the visitor center

21:26
because we were doing a trolley tour,

21:28
then after that we were gonna do a walking tour.

21:30
And what’s so neat is as you walk by these places,

21:33
you scan the bar code, the QR codes,

21:36
and it gives you all the information.

21:39
There’s even MP3s that you can get

21:41
that if you scan, it’ll play a video,

21:43
and as you walk the path that they have laid out,

21:46
like the yellow, it’s like a yellow line you follow

21:50
through Salem, and it tells you where to start and stop.

21:53
And as you’re walking, you can have your phone

21:55
playing the audio and stuff like that,

21:57
telling you on your left, you see this,

21:59
and it gives you all the history.

22:00
And then look over here, you see that,

22:01
if you continue walking, go down the street,

22:04
on the left, you’ll see, when you’re in front of the building,

22:07
you’ll see this, and that thing’s guiding you

22:10
while you’re walking.

22:12
It’s really great. They call them self-guided tours.

22:15
This is really popular now.

22:17
Again, my wife and I don’t go on vacation that often,

22:19
but it was really neat to go to a historical place

22:23
and have these self-guided tours.

22:25
Years ago, you’d have to get a tour guide and some of that.

22:27
Now I enjoy the trolley ride where I’m driving around

22:29
and the guy’s telling me everything.

22:31
I don’t think it’s a replacement necessarily

22:33
for the tour guide,

22:36
but if you’re somebody who has an hour or two to kill

22:39
and maybe doesn’t wanna spend the money on a guide,

22:41
you could do this self-guided walking tour yourself

22:45
by just scanning these QR codes.

22:47
So I think it’s really wonderful

22:49
how technology sometimes could really be helping hand,

22:54
especially for people who wanna learn

22:56
and wanna take a tour or even go on a trip

23:00
or even find out about their local history

23:02
and without having to spend a lot of money on a guide

23:06
or on a tour or anything like that.

23:08
because some of those tour guided tours are,

23:12
can be quite pricey.

23:14
I know my friend just went on a tour

23:17
and I think they said it was a couple hundred bucks a day

23:20
for the group he was with just for the tour guide.

23:23
Now the tour guide grant is with you the whole day

23:25
and giving you everything and all that stuff.

23:27
But this is, you know, a very,

23:30
you know, it’s a very important thing.

23:32
If you go, I’m trying to say, we’re in these tours.

23:34
You know, you’re going to a place,

23:35
you wanna learn the history,

23:36
They had to learn something.

23:38
You know, I know some people just go to these places

23:40
for the shopping or for the ride or whatever like that,

23:43
but myself being a history person, it’s nice.

23:46
And the other thing that’s even nice too,

23:48
is they even have, like I said,

23:49
if you know about these places

23:51
and maybe you can’t afford to go,

23:52
you could still get the audio and the pictures and stuff

23:55
and at least learn something even if you can’t afford to go.

23:58
Some people that can’t afford to go on vacation

24:00
is just too expensive in this current environment.

24:02
So I guess it’s really nice

24:05
and it’s really interesting to be able to have

24:08
these self-guided tours.

24:09
And some people do like the self-guided tours.

24:12
You know, tour guides don’t run 24/7.

24:15
Maybe somebody, maybe, you know,

24:16
if you’re on a long trip, you might wanna say,

24:18
okay, every night after dinner,

24:19
we’ll do an hour through the town.

24:21
And you’re able to kinda say, okay, we started here,

24:23
let’s do here, let’s do here,

24:25
and it gives you all the history of it and all that.

24:27
And I think it’s a wonderful thing.

24:29
It gives people the freedom and the availability

24:33
to be able to do things at your own pace

24:36
and your own leisure.

24:37
So, I liked it.

24:40
The other thing too, folks, is that I thought personally,

24:43
I was able to get a map and they tell you

24:46
where things are and they give you a little bit

24:48
of information, but you really appreciate the GPS.

24:53
Growing up in an era before GPS, 41,

24:57
so when I was younger we didn’t have GPS,

24:59
’cause it was maps and all that kind of stuff.

25:01
But I think especially nowadays

25:04
Having the GPS and being able to plan out the trip of saying, okay, this is here. This is here. This is here

25:11
How do we get to these places?

25:12
You know and you could set the route in your phone and walk along the phone walks along with you and tells you how far away

25:18
It is and where you know bathrooms are things like that

25:22
I think that’s a really bit to me. Anyway, that’s a big deal because I grew up in an era where you know, you didn’t have all that so

25:30
Like I said, I’ve really enjoyed it and glad to get away and it’s good to take tech with you sometimes

25:35
I did try to stay off of social media and things like that. I did try to enjoy the vacation

25:40
One of the things I’m a big fan of is actually digital detox

25:44
They call it where you know, we put our devices down for a little bit now grant that I would did use of a GPS

25:50
And some of that but I was trying not to look at my email all time trying not to do this trying not to you know

25:55
Get on X trying not to get on you know, Facebook things like that

25:58
I try and Instagram, trying to avoid the distraction

26:00
and kind of be in the moment,

26:03
especially on a trip like that.

26:04
I really am a firm believer in digital detox.

26:07
I also too, like I said, I don’t wear Apple Watch anymore.

26:10
I wear just regular digital watch to be less connected.

26:13
And what’s interesting about that is

26:16
a couple of my friends who are really into tech

26:20
have started doing the same thing

26:21
where they bought watches and stuff like that

26:24
where they rather just, you know, have a regular watch

26:28
rather than a digital watch,

26:30
just because it helps you feel a little less plugged in

26:33
where you don’t have, you know,

26:34
you don’t always have every bing,

26:35
you’re not looking at your wrist and stuff like that.

26:37
I know the argument is,

26:39
well, you don’t take your phone out of your pocket,

26:41
but I think to a certain degree,

26:42
it does give you that little bit of a space gap,

26:46
I guess you could say, you know,

26:48
so I think that is, so some people that’s important,

26:51
myself it is, I really do enjoy that whole digital detox thing that they talk about and

26:59
I think it’s really important.

27:01
I’m on the computer more than I’m on my phone, especially with what I do for living and stuff

27:06
like that, but I know there are a lot of people specifically that just are on their phone all

27:11
day just doom scrolling and that’s not healthy.

27:13
I’m going to be kind of wrapping it up a little bit.

27:16
I guess that I want to thank you all for listening and we will see you on the next episode of the technology geek.

27:23
Thank you very much.
