Windows 10 Creators Update coming April 11

The Windows 10 Creators Update will begin to roll out to customers around the world on April 11 as a free update. The Creators Update is designed to spark and unleash creativity, bringing 3D and mixed reality to everyone and enabling every gamer to be a broadcaster. 3D and Mixed Reality

Microsoft stated in their post they have always been the home for creation starting with Microsoft Paint that has about 100 million monthly users and is one of the most popular creation tools that Microsoft offers. The new Paint 3D app in the Creators Update will allow users to create 3D objects, changing colors, stamping textures, or turning a 2D picture into 3D.

Windows Mixed Reality-enabled headsets are scheduled later this year at a price of $299.

Beam Community

The Creators Update adds Beam a real-time community that connects using ultra low-latency using no extra hardware or software. With Beam, you don’t just watch your favorite game streams, you can chat, interact and participate with streamers and community in entirely new ways.

Game Mode

The Windows 10 Creators Update adds Game Mode for a better gaming experience on Windows 10.  Gaming Mode works by dedicating more system resources to your PC games game mode can be applied to any game.

Microsoft Edge Update

The Windows 10 creators update makes Edge faster, more secure with added features like advanced tab management, e-books in the Windows Store, e-book reader, and Edge is the only browser that can play Netflix movies and TV shows in 4K Ultra HD resolution.

Windows Hello Update

Any paired iPhone, Android or Windows Phone that has Windows Hello can now detect when you step away from your PC or tablet and automatically lock it for extra security and privacy. The new remote lock which was added with the Windows 10 Creators Update works with smartphones, fitness bands or any device that’s paired with your PC or tablet.

Windows Defender

A new Windows Defender Security Center dashboard is coming with the Windows 10 Creators Update and gives you visibility of your device security, health, and online safety. The Windows 10 creators update offers a single dashboard display so you can control your security options from one place hassle-free. Anti-virus, network security, firewall protection, device performance, device health, apps security,  browser security and family safety options all in one place plus a new feature Device Health Advisory. The Device Health Advisor gives you information on the vital signs of your device, and new settings give you more control over app installation.

Small Feature Updates

  • Night Light a popular smartphone feature which reduces the blue light emitted from the computer display.
  • Mini View lets you keep an ever-present small window on top of whatever application you are using.
  • Screen Time Limits allows parents to control their children’s time on their Xbox or Windows 10 PC
