Microsoft released a significant update for its Office apps on iOS today, bringing the version number for the apps to 2.12. You’ll now be able to open your documents, spreadsheets, and presentations right from within the Files app on iOS 11, although this information wasn’t included in the official changelog, for some reason.

In Word and Excel, you’ll see some new options for SVG images. You’ll now be able to rotate, resize, and add color to them. Exclusive to Excel is the ability to do “common calculations on a selected range of data”, including functions like SUM, COUNT, and AVERAGE. There’s also quick access to commands like “expand selection, sort, filter, and more”.
