  • Microsoft, in the past couple of years, has started to become quite aggressive in trying to convert customers using competitor’s software to using its own solutions. We have seen free Server offers to Oracle customers and now the company is going after Box, DropBox, and Google Drive. Starting today, the company is offering OneDrive for Business for free for the remaining term of an existing contact for those companies using a competitors product. But, and there is a larger qualifier for the offer, you must have at least a 500 user commitment. Perti Microsoft being very aggressive with bringing users to OneDrive. OneDrive is great I use it but Dropbox and Google are a little better at certain features.
  • On Feb. 3, 1998, a group of people met to discuss the need for a term that would help explain the concept of free software to businesses and individuals who didn’t understand what “free software” was.   • YouTube says it is “very sorry” after more disturbing videos were found on the YouTube Kids app. Newsround found several videos not suitable for children, including one showing how to sharpen knives. Another had characters from children’s cartoon Paw Patrol on a burning plane. YouTube has been criticised for using algorithms rather than human curators to decide what appears on YouTube Kids. BBC I still don’t understand why this is taking them so long to get right.
