  • Apple announced a partnership with Accenture today. The partnership will help change the way businesses work with customers through new business solutions for iOS. Accenture will leverage Apple’s iOS platform and take full advantage of the power, simplicity, and security to help create an innovative enterprise mobility platform. Accenture is the industry leader in digital transformation to help companies unlock new revenue streams, increase productivity, improve customer experience and reduce costs. Members of the Apple team with be co-located to work with Accenture Digital Studios in select locations around the world. Apple and Accenture plan to launch a new set of enterprise tools and services to help enterprise clients change and innovate how they engage with customers using iOS devices (iPhone and iPad). Tim Cook said in the press release “Starting 10 years ago with iPhone, and then with iPad, Apple has been transforming how work gets done, yet we believe that businesses have only just begun to scratch the surface of what they can do with our products,” he went on to say “Both Apple and Accenture are leaders in building incredible user experiences and together we can continue to truly modernize how businesses work through amazing solutions that take advantage of the incredible capabilities of Apple’s technologies.” The new iOS tools and services will feature Back-End Ecosystem Services Internet-of-Things (IoT) Services Migration Services For Legacy Apps Accenture is a leading global professional services company with 411,000 people serving clients in more than 120 countries. This is a great partnership for Apple and will help move them a head in the enterprise space.
  • Apple will host its big iPhone 8 event on Sept.12, Dow Jones said Monday. The tech giant is expected to announce a bevy of products, including two new iterative iPhone updates, possibly named the iPhone 7s and iPhone 7s Plus, in addition to a high-end iPhone 8. Apple is also reportedly gearing up to announce a new 4K Apple TV that will support sharper content than current models, and a new Apple Watch. The iPhone 8 will reportedly feature a display that takes up almost the entire front of the device, using new OLED panels that are brighter and more colorful than previous screens. Rumor has it Apple has moved the fingerprint reader to the back of the phone but will also support facial recognition thanks to a new 3-D sensor on the front of the device. CNBC One thing I have learned is if you’re going to announce bad news do it on the day of an Apple event because no one will read it 😉
