  • Fall is a great time for TV lovers. Between college football, NFL, and the return of your favorite TV shows — there’s no shortage of top-notch programming to enjoy. As we built the new Hulu experience, we wanted to make sure you could watch when you want and where you want – on the platforms that matter to you. To date, we’ve offered Hulu with Live TV on multiple living room and mobile devices, but we know many of you have asked to access our service on your laptops and computers as well. So rather than wait until we’ve finalized our new Web experience, we’re opening up a basic version to Hulu’s live TV plan subscribers so they can stream live TV via their browsers. That means, you can catch the big game, this morning’s news or the premiere of “This is Us” wherever you are. Hulu Hulu is making a lot of strides with live TV. Services like Hulu and YouTube TV are the future of live TV.
  • Thousands of owners of high-end Samsung TVs have complained after a software update left their recently acquired £1,400 sets with blank, unusable screens. The Guardian has been contacted by a number of owners complaining that the TVs they bought – in some cases just two weeks ago – have been rendered useless by an upgrade sent out by Samsung a week ago. Others have been posting furious messages on the company’s community boards complaining that their new TVs are no longer working. The Guardian I think it’s just bad idea to push out TV updates around football season.
  • If you’re one to get support for your Microsoft devices on Twitter, you’re going to want to be aware that the @SurfaceSupport Twitter account is going away. Microsoft made the announcement today, and the account will be closing on August 28. Moving forward, you should be using the @MicrosoftHelps (Microsoft Support) account for assistance with all of your Microsoft devices and services. Neowin Did Microsoft have enough of the nasty tweets? Are they using LinkedIn?
