Microsoft released a large update to Office386 today adding long new pieces of software and new features to existing software Kirk Koenigsbauer posted on the Office365 blog 

“Office 365 provides the broadest and deepest toolkit for collaboration between individuals, teams and entire organizations. Updates this month make the experience even better with co-authoring in Excel, the general availability of Microsoft Teams and more.”

Co-authoring in Excel 

Co-authoring which is already available in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. The update to Excel now enables co-authoring in Excel on Windows desktops for Office Insiders Fast. The feature allows users to know who else is working with the spreadsheet, see where they’re working and view changes automatically. Co-authoring is already available in Excel Online, Excel on Android, Windows Mobile and iOS (for Office Insiders).  Co-authoring in Excel for the Mac is in the works to be released as well.

AutoSave 

Microsoft is bringing AutoSave to Word, Excel, and PowerPoint on Windows desktops, for files stored in SharePoint Online, OneDrive and OneDrive for Business.

Microsoft Teams 

Microsoft is pushing teams really hard which is one of many collaboration tools that Microsoft has released over the last few years to compete with Slack and Salesforce. Microsoft Teams released earlier this month to all Office 365 commercial and educational companies. Microsoft Teams has over 150 integrations with other apps, services, and bots.  Microsoft Teams is now generally available in 181 markets and in 19 languages.

Microsoft Bookings 

Microsoft rolled out Bookings worldwide last week to Office 365 Business Premium subscribers. Bookings is making it easy for small businesses to schedule and manage appointments with their customers. Microsoft added the connection to your Office 365 calendar to manage appointments, customize your Bookings page, and stay connected on the go with iOS and Android apps.

OneNote 

Microsoft added many new improvements to OneNote this month. Microsoft added OneNote inking and accessibility update to the list with making inking more powerful and available in the browser, as well as helping you create more accessible notes. Microsoft added with this update ink math assistant improvements, an accessibility checker, and inking in OneNote Online.

Visio integrates with Excel and PowerPoint 

Visio, Excel and PowerPoint work better together than ever with the new Data Visualizer templates and Slide Snippets pane. The new Data Visualizer templates for Excel data are now available in Visio on Windows desktops, for Office 365 subscribers in Office Insiders Slow. The Slide Snippets pane is currently available in Visio on Windows desktops, for all Office 365 subscribers.
